Medium: Sticks, Twine, Lace Grass. | This was a fun project, one of my favorites during my studies at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. This was during my Fall 2012 semester in my 3D Applications class, out on the backside of campus, which connects to a golf course (other side of the fence). This project took much time, and our requirements were to construct an arch that you could walk through out of only sticks & twine (grass & leaves can be used for volume, so I used lace grass, a grass that grew around the area I selected). I used four large branches, two of which I had found, and two of which, the lighter ones, are sycamore branches from my sycamore tree in my front yard. the rest are sticks from my tree and found sticks, bound and tied together to create the arch over the top, and I like I mentioned, added lace grass for volume between the large posts. The side sycamore branches I tried to simulate unity by symmetrics and add a welcoming feel, as well as the sycamore logs I dug holes for to a simulated walking path to create a desire to walk through it. The below images are different angles of my completed project.
